So am I correct in my assumption that if these products come to market that they would mean even smaller heat sinks or no heat sinks up to certain wattage levels?

Hi,
Smaller heatsinks, higher power and higher switching frequencies are on the list of possibilities, however there's other areas where they have to excel aside from a low RDSon in order for that to happen, and a vague mention at faster switching doesnt' say a whole lot.
All the same, it's nice to know there's something new around the corner that could possibly mean a better class d amp, components will continue to evolve and we should not only expect this but try to keep on top of it so we can take advantage of them when do arrive.
Regards,
Chris
