Well i bought the winder a Meterman 37XR multi meter and 16 and 18 guage mag wire. i am going to go nuts winding to my little hearts content. Inductor heaven here i come

Or the real nice solution. Mod a calculator and hook it up with a microswitch. This will allow you to count quarters or whatever you want to divide the revolutions into.

Note that I did not exclude this.
It was the sort of thing I was thinking of by mentioning time instead of money invested in the counter. Time for DIY construction!

Well, it takes like 15 min. to make such a thing. That's less than it takes to order one 😀

If your into the electronics, you can also build an up/down counter. If you make a Mistake, it can Un-count those turns.
