I have a couple of early 60s vintage consoles that I am going to be resto-modding and I have a couple of questions related to the turntables.
1. Would it be feasible to put one of the better ceramic cartridges (model suggestions welcome) on a 70s-80s vintage table with adjustable tracking tonearm?
2. When setting up a console for use with an external subwoofer is there a minimum suggested high pass frequency for the mains to minimize feedback to the turntable?

It's probably easier to get a very inexpensive magnetic cartridge pre-amplifier on eBay and use a currently available magnetic cartridge. There probably are ceramic cartridges that are suitable, I'm not very knowledgeable about them. (They were the rage in Italy in the 1970s when I lived there as a teen, some had performance approaching that of an entry level magnetic cartridge.)
I think where you set the high pass is going to depend on a couple of things like how tightly coupled the turntable is to the cabinetry and how badly the sub woofer excites it. I think the bigger concern will be localizing bass to the sub woofer rather than the console if you set the high pass too high.. I would not go much higher than 100Hz.
