I am looking for an 8" shielded driver.
I want to build a floorstanding MTM design similiar to some of the klipsch floorstanders. I have been through a few designs with six and a half inch drivers and overall they are pretty good but I would like a little more bass extension. So if anyone has seen any 8" shielded drivers for sale please post where they can be purchased.
Alternatly I have considered finding the right 8" drivers and using a bucking magnet to shield them myself. If anyone has had good experience sheilding this size driver, ie. doesn't distort television picture and doesn't effect the speaker parameters that much, please let me know.
