I am looking for an 8" driver that will work well in a sealed enclosure. 90db or so sensitivity. planning on crossing over around 1K. May run 2 in parallel also. One run for BSC and other run to 1K x-over point.
So far I have found:
Eton Orchestra 8-612/C8/25 RP 8" Paper Cone Woofer
Ciare HWB200-8
Eton 8-412/C8/32 Hexecone Symphony II 8" Woofer
I am sure I am missing some. Would like to x-over to a nice horn driver on top end. Something like:
SB Audience Rosso-65CDN-T Compression Driver-1.4" - Neodymium magnet version
Thanks for any help!

There is something wrong in the foundation: why use a horn tweeter with a ( home, hi-fi) woofer ? Not that is completely wrong, I did it with a Ciare 10" when this summer a VC deceased, so I'm in the same trouble BUT... the ol' Ciare ( FX series) got a good behavior in the mid frequencies and crossing at 2k5 Hz was good, so I'm expecting a 8" to do good. This is/was intended for party music so no real expectation of beautiful sound by the speakers ( and amps, and source and....music program!) and the tweeter was nearly muted with the L-pad.
So now if I want to revive the party speakers I need to buy two woofers, and I'm gonna go with the usual suspects, that is B&C, Faital Pro and 18 sound ( which bought Ciare for the home & car segment, plus their pro line ).
So I'm gonna suggest Ciare from the list! Never have been disappointed by their woofers. But I would choose a model from the Pro line...like the B&C 8 CL 51 or the 8 NW 51, the 18Sound 8NMB420 and some others, even though they exceed the power I actually use ( 50 W) and are thought to be used with a subwoofer - and we are able to do that!- but that means no more fried VCs😏

If you're using a sub, I'd recommend the 8NDL51 for lower crossover points. The 8PE21 and 8PS21 are also very good candidates. The 8PE21 has better midrange extension with less xmax and higher efficiency around 97 dB/w. The 8PS21 is around 92dB/w after BSC and has decent xmax, similar to 8NDL51, which has lower distortion in the lower mids. My favorite for a 2 way is the 8NDL51, second (less xmax) is the 8PE21 and the best compromise between the two is the 8PS21.
You could build the Jeff Bagby Helios in a sealed box. I have the WO24P-4 in a 40litre box with plenty of stuffing and really like it. It goes pretty deep (for a sealed box) and rolls off nice and slow and is very dynamic and the Helios design crosses at around 1.2kHz iirc. The Wo24P is sold as a 9.5” but if you look at the SD of 255sq.cm it is not much bigger than some 8” drivers.

Also the new aluminium Purifi woofer looks like it can work in a sealed box. 4 ohm version looks like around 25mm trees and is just under 90dB sensitivity.
