I use a 300b SET amp to drive a pair of 89db IPL speakers. I don't try to blow the roof off, but it goes loud enough for me..... a bit too loud, if you ask my neighbours.
I got an 832 amp into 86db eff. speakers in a room that is 6 meters x 7 meters. My wife is constantly telling me to turn it down. that's with less than 5 watts to the speakers.
22w of 300B PP w/26 leading the pack & into 84db ET-8a planars. At sane moderate levels it is more than quite good in my 16'x12' small room. Only you will know if it is enough for you Bro.....
I am using a 6080/6as7 parafeed (less than 3 watts) into a Fostex 127e (91db), and it is LOUD.
I am also driving my Fostex with my SE KT88/EL34 based on Mikael's circuit, and that is LOUDER (around 6 watts on triode and less than 12 watts on ultralinear, have not measured the power though).
I also have a 0.9 watt 12b4 parafeed and it is enough to power my Fostex, but it does not go very loud.

I brought my 300B 8W monos to my friend's house for comparison with his Bi-amp (Phase Linear 200W per channel Solid STates) system.
My 300B is loud enough to drive his JBL 3 way speakers with 12" woofer.
I would say that my 8W has sufficient loudness for me.... Of course, you need an amplifier which has good frequency response from 20 to 20kHz.
