Hi,

Look, I have two 15 inch Punch P2 subwoofers (rockford fosgate).
They are conected in paralel conection on PowerAmper SA880 amp.
I dont think that they seen to like eack other so I'm thinking to replace amp with Punch 700s amp but...
My problem is; Will that amp be able to work for a loong period with 2 ohm in bridge? (2x4 ohm conected paralel and then bridge on amp). That will be 1 ohm on each chanel.

?

ohms

assuming u have the 4 ohm version I wouldnt recommend 2 ohms mono. The amp will probably run it but realize you amp would effectively be trying to put out twice what its rated for. You will likely run into thermal issues and will signifigantly reduce the life of the amp. I had a rf power 451s i tried at 2 ohms it for a few months and it only cut out(thermal shutdown) on one day. I later sold the amp and bought a 551x 4channel for full range.
So it did run, but at 8ohms mono it sounded alot cleaner even at low volume.

wondering when you hook 1 sub on the amp is it loud like it should be and then when u hook up the other one does it cut the volume in half or more and sound like ***?? if so connect 1 sub and see how it sounds and if it sound good hook up the second sub if it sounds like *** try switching the neg and posistive speaker wire around on that sub they might just be out of phase
