Greetings!
Just been trying to find a solution to switch 2 or more 7.1 sources to a single input. A remote is nice but not needed and the calibrations for levels will be done at the source. Basically I just need to have some sort of switch.
There is a few products out there but they seem a bit high in price for something that could likely be DIY?
I tried to search but came back blank.

There are a number of relay-based kits on eBay that you might use - you might need to combine several in parallel to get the number of inputs you need.
Relays will simplify your wiring and control. You can see what I did with relay controlled switching here.
You don't need to use a microcontroller - you can just use a rotary switch to toggle a whole pile of relays.
