I noticed the driver tube 6SN7 signal input always connect to pin 4. Any difference if connect to pin 1? Thanks for clarification.

That's a dual triode, so there are two separate active devices in one envelope, each with
its own grid, plate, and cathode. You can use either of the devices for any particular function.
Thanks for reply. If driver circuit designed mainly for only pin 4 input or doesn't matter and can connect pin 1 or 4?That's a dual triode, so there are two separate active devices in one envelope, each with

Can you post the schematic? You can use either section if the plate, grid, and cathode
of the chosen section are all properly connected (and the filament also).
The selection of triode #1 vs triode #2 is purely a function of physical circuit layout. This is true for almost all twin triodes. The 6DJ8 is one of the rare exceptions, because its two sections have different heater/cathode insulation ratings.

So you want to swap the two sections of the driver tube? Should be ok.
Be careful of the pin numbering, it's a mess.

1 & 4 input signal, 2 & 5 is anode plate , 3 & 6 is cathodes and lastly 7 & 8 is heater filaments. This should be right. So you want to swap the two sections of the driver tube? Should be ok.

Yes, at least it's hard to get the filament wrong.
