Here's a pre-fathers day question for you. I received some old tubes from my Dad a while back. The ones that seem most like they could be useful are three RCA metal can 6L6s and a pair of Tung-Sol 6AR6s.
Can I use these to build an amp? I'm know very little about tubes, so what I'd be looking for would be a complete and finished design posted on the web or the like.
I realize these aren't like a set of WE 300Bs or something, but I think he'd get a real kick out of me being able to put them to good use.
Thanks for any advice.

You can find a 6AR6 schematic here: http://the-planet.org/audio.html

Colt45 said:sure you can. not a whole lot of power though, and you need to find some transformers.. but yeah, sure..
any idea what you want?
Well, it doesn't really matter, though I'm not into high-efficency speakers.
So, SE is probably not of interest (maybe someday...).
Thanks.
