I have one of those 6J1 Tube Preamp kits. Looking at the schematic it has 50k pot on input and 470k on grid. I thought it could make a great guitar signal splitter.
I would simply tap the original signal to this 6J1 preamp and could run it to mixer at the same time as to an amp from the original signal.
I'd get rid of the 50k pot and replace the 470k with 1M to minimize the load on guitar. I'm just not sure if the 470k value is important for this tube and there is very little info about it to be found. With 1M it would be basically like 12AX7 setup.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. Here is the 6J1 Tube Preamp schematic.
