6DJ8 current source

I'm looking for the current source that BH used for the seduction preamp. I think it used a 2N2907 and a MJE350 with several resistors and a low noise LED. Anyone have a schematic, parts list, or something similar I can try?

It was 18 years ago....
The C4S stands for "Camille Cascode Constant Current Source." It was designed by Buddha (John Camille).

Thanks. I think I will try the adj version as I'm building a 2SK170/6DJ8 cascode input stage for a phono preamp.

If the PSRR matters, other type CCS settles better than BJT C4S.

BTW I prefer cascode depletion MOSFET CCS.


If you have enough power voltage headroom (anode voltage+half of anode swing+30V headroom), IMHO it's better choice than BJT type.
