6d22s to 6cj3

Hi

I am currently using 6d22s bridge rectification for my amps(900V,200mA PC),yet i am thinking of swithing to 6cj3.As i understand they have diffirent sockets?I ve got a large stock of magnovals.

The pros for switching is the h to c rating(900V vs 600V).

Anyone who tried the two in a some amp configutation?Any help please?

I find that the 6d22s are the smoothest tube rectifiers i have tried,but the cj seems appealing.

Any comments?

The sockets are nearly the same. The 6CJ3 uses NOVAR base, which is same as MAGNOVAL except pins are thinner.

6CJ3 works good in my 300B-SE for 5 years now, but I haven't compared to other rectifiers.

Hi SC, I am in the final throws of building a GM70 amp and am using 2 6D22S tubes on each leg of the PTX so I can ensure that I can run 850v without issue. I have not played with the 6CJ3.
