600 ohm resistor between "+" and "-" of balanced inputs.

Most balanced-input audio equipment now seems to use input impedances of around 10k Ohms. Telephone equipment is still tested with a 600R load (or a complex impedance load that averages around 600R across the 300Hz to 4kHx range).

Hi both ... 🙂

I've just acquired a power amp that has 'Balanced input' capability...
In the users manual, it talks about when using the std RCA inputs, to short out the balanced inputs. Is this what your are talking about, or is your angle more to do with 'loading' the balanced input while using its input connection?

If you know anything about what I read in the instruction manual I'd really appreciate any pointers as to how I can correctly wire some shorting XLR plugs for the amp !

Much appreciated,

-Andy-
