Anybody have a favorite. From what I can find in the Bottlehead archives, Ronan had incorporated both voltage and current regulation in a design, but the links have long ago ended and the schematics won't come up from the archives. I seem to be leaning toward the LT1084 but am certainly open to suggestions.
Thanks!

Is this the one you were thinking of? It is called the Ronan Reg Classic.

The Ronan reg would be overkill for a IDHT. Nothing wrong with overkill mind you...however Ronan reg seems more appropriate for a tube like the 26 or other DHT's.
For a 6,3v heater...for say a driver or preamp stage. I would just go with a LM317 or LT1086 current reg. Just set to the current to what the particular tube wants. Say 600mA for a 6N1P and you have a dead silent tube.
