These have high current DC 5v supplies, if modded could be run at 6.3 possibly......

i think you would have to re design the whole Com SMPS.
most don`t an output capability anywhere near 6.3v.
well, i saw a 7.2v 35ampere SMPS at a surplus shop the day before. i wonder if you can find this sorta things where you reside.

you can usualy get 6.3v out of a comp psu by adjusting the duty cycle
their current output would range from 15 amps to 50 amps, depending on brand and such 🙂

problem being that the smoothing caps are all rated 6.3v. i wonder if it is possible to increase the voltage with the turn of a simple pot?
Yeeeah, electrolytics have a 10% tolerance right?
I looked into switchers, they're cheap and some are adjustable, but most are only good for about 10% more voltage. 5.5v is close, but not quite enough.
