I am unsure from your wording, are you saying there are lots of jobs or not lots of jobs?
I can't wait to make it over there.
Somebody told me that it is overcast there all the time. Is that true?

Compared with Regina, yes., but Victoria does hold the distinction of having Canada's longest growing season ie: time between frosts.

The ganja clouds are quite plentiful.

Lots of jobs...
It is overcast alot in the winter -- but it is rain instead of snow, and 6C instead of -16C. The recent world-wide weater pertebations have us enduring some unfamiliar conditions (ie more than a week with snow on the ground (but more sun in the winter than normal too), and summers that aren't 4 straight months of no rain & no clouds).

Sweet. I looked up the average and max/min temperatures. The website said the max temp was 32 degrees and the min was -17 degrees over the last 21 years. It will get colder than -25 for a week or more at a time out here.
32 we had on the May long weekend this year but nothing close since. -17 would be most unusual. Would that have been in '91?
davidallancole said:I am not to sure. Do you live in Victoria to Cal?
Cal is a ferry ride away n Canada 🙂

I live in Surrey. The high official temp at Victoria or YVR is usually a bit cooler. The further inland you go, the warmer she gets. Dave is in one of the mildest climates in the country, we're not far behind.
Hey guys,
I was wondering if you had a sign up sheet for those who wanted to demo gear.
Do the different rooms have different themes? (vinyl, glass, silicon?)
Any entrance fees (cash or otherwise)?
Looking forward to a great bash!

Nope. We just try to listen to everything people bring... althou we are going to try to have a little less anarchy this year

There is outside in the driveway which tends towards open baffles, the inside room this year will (at least for the 1st part of the day) have a self-serve EnABL comparison, and the back deck.
Any entrance fees (cash or otherwise)?
No, but there is a raffle which raises some cash to offset expenses. (prizes not yet determined)

Congratulations to Planet 10
Dave, Chris, and Ruth got a nice write-up in the Sunday edition of the local newspaper (Victoria Times Colonist) this week. It was in the form of an article endorsing DIY audio, 2/3 or so of a full newspaper page, and aimed at the general reader! As well as referencing the Planet 10 website, diyAudio.com got a mention - does anyone track hits on the site by origin? It would be interesting to know if there's been an uptick.
Nice work, guys.

Gregg,
Thanks for the link to the newspaper article. It was well done although the story could have been longer; but then, we are probably more interested in this sort of thing than the average reader😀
Best Regards,
TerryO

Can it be that there are those who don't subscribe to the Times Colonist?
