I am planning to use 2 X TPA3116D2 for this attached setup. There is another chip TAS5630B for this purpose (4 channel single ended). But I chose TPA3116D2 for efficiency.

Is my choice ok ?

I have tried both chips and the tas5630 has a lot more power! When played louder than the tpa3116 chip can, the heat sink is not even luke warm on the tas5630! I'd choose the chip that gives you the power you need regarding speaker sensitivity. I like both amps but the tas5630 is a beast regarding power🙂 But the sound quality might be slightly better on the tpa3116 and the pcb cards are usally much smaller.. Btw there is a lot more detailed info on the tpa3116 chip which would help you creating a board🙂

Thanks Impulse60 for sharing your experience. My primary concern is the powering the chips. The amp will be used in car and will be powered by the car battery 12V. If I choose 2 X TPA3116D2, then I need to design boost converter capable of outputting 24V 15A. If I choose TAS5630B, I need to design boost converter capable of delivering 50V 7.2A

So can you suggest which one should I choose in this respect ?
