You wouldn't normally use a PCB for that. The bridge rectifier would be chassis mounted and the reservoir caps similarly fixed. Those are basically the only components involved.
Is that what you meant ?
Is that what you meant ?
normally yes but for what im doing it needs to be a seperate item from the amplifier board, what i should have asked for is a schematic but the comunication link between my fingers and my brain failed!
So I managed to scrounge up the bits to make the power supply had to scavenge some of the bits from an old amp but cobbled something together, need to upload a pic so ill do that in the morning, having a problem though because its popping the fuse, not sure why thinking it may be because its not properly earthed or connected to the amplifier yet, any ideas or suggestions would be gratefully accepted, I've used a terralec a400 transformer which has 2 42v secondary windings, 4 50v 4700uf caps in series parallel with 2 63v 100uf to smooth out the last of the ripple, having looked I can't find the specs on the bridge I've used which may be the problem, it's one I salvaged from a tig welder which I thought may be up to the task but I may be wrong ill look for a data sheet for it it's an s25vb80 but that's all that's on it.
