I been thinking to built a mono single ended amp and I got a
CBS 6W6-GT and a Mullard 50L6-GT...wich sounds better?????
any good schematic???????????

They're the same tube with different heaters.
But having a certain tube is a poor reason to build an amp around it - tubes are one of the cheapest parts in a tube amp.

I use 12L6 tubes (similar to yours) to drive power MOSFETs in hybrid amps. They are decent tubes, and don't require high plate voltages. 170V PS is more than plenty.
50L6:
Maximum Ratings (Design Center Values)
Pentode
Plate Voltage ................................. 200 V
Grid No. 2 Voltage ............................ 117 V
Plate Dissipation ............................. 10 W
Grid No. 2 Dissipation ........................ 1.25 W
6W6:
Maximum Ratings (Design Center Values)
Pentode
Plate Voltage ................................. 330 V
Grid No. 2 Voltage ............................ 165 V
Plate Dissipation ............................. 12 W
Grid No. 2 Dissipation ........................ 1.35 W
The 6W6 is beefier and gives an extra watt in SE.

Re: 6w6gt
Have you got the schematic or info about the output transformer???????
thanks to everybody...
my english isn't good...sorry...
KaDe said:For the moment I´m playing the 6W6 in push-pull UL-mode : 250V B+, 30mA each
- sounds very linear and objective to me -

Thanks Ivan for your interest on my tube breed-box.
It was not my intension to change your mind from single-ended into push-pull.
It just happend so yesterday that I plugged this 6W6GTs in my 8417 MFE-amp for a listening test and was pretty surprised about their stunning sonic performance with my corner-horn speakers.
They should sound even better single-ended.
Go ahead with a 4 k Ohm load transformer for 3,8 SE-Watts !
