5.1 tripath amplifier project

i have a good friend that helps me out many times with CNC related issues and i had no idea how to thank him since he never agreed to take any money. i think it's time that i'll do something and a few days ago it just came to me! he's amplifier died about a year ago and can't use it with his DVD player anymore and from some reason he is too lazy to have it fixed 🙂

he built his own speakers and right now his living room is full with speakers so he got 2 center channels, 4 front, 2 front effect, 2 rear and 1 sub output. the two centers are fed the same signal and the 4 fronts are actually normal stereo with 2 speakers on each side. also the front speakers are made out of 30 or something small fullrange drivers connected to give 8ohm at the end (so are his rest of his speakers).

i would like to build him an amplifier based around tripath chips (maybe kits) that would sound good and will pump out close to 100w per channel because i think only that much would be ok with a rig like his. also i am wondering if the multi-speaker setup he has in the front speakers is a problem?
