4ohm output transformer with 8ohm speaker

I'm using a 4ohm output transformer to power a 8ohm speaker, is this OK? What can happen? ..k

With that setup I think you just get less power out of the amp. A lot less either 1/2 or 1/4 it's to late to work out which. Let's see power is (I^2)R, ......

But if you think about if this is common. Most all speakers have higher impedance at higher frequency so at above a few hundred Hz all systems have a mismatched load
