You will be hamstrung with your cheap OPT, however. Perhaps a headphone amp is the best way to connect to the character of a tube?

How does the Fullmusic compere to a original 45? It looks more like a long plate 2a3 than a 45.

The Edcor XSE15-5K works surprisingly good with 45's, after all you are only asking for it to pass 2 watts.
Measured frequency response in a TSE amp set up for 45's was about 10 Hz to 45 KHz @ 3dB. Listening tests surprised most of the listeners.
After these tests nearly 15 years ago I started making triode wired 6V6 amps based on the SSE board with these OPT's. They were the closest thing you could get to a 45 amp without spending DHT money.
