I bought this about 5 years ago fo $200 thinking I'd fix the minor electronic problem and use it in my home. Then I bought a brand new RPTV instead. This thing has been stored in a heated workshop since I've had it. A bit dusty but that can be cleaned. Has a remote. On-screen displays work and convergence is OK. All three CRT's are OK. Sound works. Tuners work. No program video getting to the screen. I have a full service manual that cost me $50 as well.
I want this out of here so I can use the space. You can fix this or use it as a base for a LCD light engine RPTV project, or turn the large solid wooden cabinet into a big subwoofer if you want.
Pickup only about 1-1/4 hr drive NW of Toronto near Shelburne. You will need a pickup truck.
Best offer for cash or trade takes. I'll take a desktop computer in trade if it is faster than 800 MHz, a working laptop (of lesser speed) with a decent sound card or tube hi-fi gear, working or not, or make me an offer.

Color this RPTV gone. It's a gonsoon!
Breath, breath, breath, grab post, heave, BUMP!
OK. I have tried to give this almost working, attractive cabinet 41" RPTV away. No success. I tried to assign a value to it asking for 'stu-uff' in trade to make it sound more attractive or valuable. No luck.
From where I stand it looks like there is a lot of talk from folks that claim to wanna build their own projectors but apparently that appears to be all there is is talk.
I am this close to tying a rope around the unit and using my car to pull it out of the shop into the parking lot where I will set it ablaze with gasoline.
Anyone that wishes to attend and witness this unnecessary act of wasteful destruction should contact me ASAP. You will be expected to bring marshmallows.
If you want to take advantage of this valuable give-away offer once again on for a very limited time, call now. Operators are standing by. Mention this ad and you will receive absolutely free, a 41" rear projection TV!

Do they let you have shotguns up there? if so, I have a suggestion for use of a shotgun that involves dramatic, exploding TV parts, with goggles and a face mask, heavy apron etc. for your safety... 😀

Stocker,
The use of a shotgun in television set maintenance works best on those employing large, direct view cathode ray tubes.
When I destroy this I plan to save the frfesnel/lenticular panel screen.
Perhaps this is the wrong forum for a projector. I shall try posting in speakers. The cabinet would take a lot of work out of making a really big, fine looking furniture subwoofer.

Negative, bad combination of implosion/explosion, flying glass shrapnel and toxic inner-tube coatings.
Try selling the lenses on the trading post here, individually.

Well that's the whole idea of a gun. It allows the the bad stuff to happen at a place other than where YOU are. There's nothing better than a 22 rifle to make used xenon short arc projection lamps 'safe' to salvage the tungsten innards.
I don't have time to urinate around removing CRT's and disassemble this set for parts. I'd have a hard time believing that anyone here would pay actual money for such lenses and related components....so this strategy is actually quite well thought out. That is the idea of Free. If someone wants these lenses, come take the works, it's FREE!!!!!
Come to think of it, disposal of this RPTV may be an excuse for the child in me that still wants to build a high performance flame thrower! 😀 Aw, I just don't have the time.

I imagine if you wanted to pay about a hundred pounds for shipping, or so... plus arrange for someone besides the owner to ship it from his house...
maybe if it cost £0 to buy, i can dream bawling: IT would be a waste to just let it burn or get rid of it, i want to fix it!!!!
Re-Animator,
There is a private airstrip just a few lots up the street from me. Fly over in a twin Otter or maybe something a bit smaller (easier on gas) and i'll help you load it! If you are coming from England I'll pay you to bring me a vintage B&W, bakelite case Bush TV12-or TV22 for my early TV museum collection, but not enough to cover your fuel.

I am sadly not that rich
even if i had a plane that is a long distance to fly, i just have a small amount of money laying around so dont mind spending that much
