40mm heatsink fin pitch

Hello,

Seeing how the smaller chassis heatsink cannot come pre drilled, I'd like to know the fin pitch of the heatsink so that I can design to drill screw holes between the fins to feed screws through. Rather than tapping. The particular unit that I'm looking at is the mini 3u

The UMS heatsinks of the Deluxe chassis don't have holes that go through the panel. The holes are usually drilled 7mm deep and then the thread is 6.5mm deep so the exact position of the fins is of no relevance.

What I am seeking is the measurement distance from fin to fin so that I can make my own holes.

The fin pitch center to center is 10mm

Drilling holes between the heatsink fins worked like a charm BTW
This allowed machine screws to be fed through the holes on the fin side, to be used as a stud on the flat side. This also enables them to be easily changed in any event.
