I'd like to build a system which will project a tv-quality picture onto my wall. I would like for this system to offer a s-video port that I can plug my Video Card in, or my Satellite into. Can anyone suggest to me parts that I could get for a good price, mainly being under $400. Thanks!
🙂
First off, a stripped LCD is the best quality you'll find for the video part. People have had luck with the NEC 1545v and the Benq series, among others. Verbose on here strips monitors if you don't want to either, for a small price. These, of course, will need the necessary optics, which you could probably get for 60. It'll cost more if you want a Metal Halide lightbulb in there. Then you'll need some sort of converter to VGA. You could either use a PC with video in to connect to it, or they make converters, which you should do a search for.
