I even tried to modify one driver by burning extra vent holes in the former and when that didn't work holes in the spider. It dit reduce wind noise but introduced other more intrusive cone/surround vibration/breakup noises.Only drawback of these is that they aren't properly ventilated so when you push them there is "wind noise".
I was off in my math.....it is more like 1/30th of the price compared to acoustic elegance OB drivers. With some eq they get down to about 40hz in room and hopefully the 10" drivers will go a few hz lower. I am aware I could do better with some acoustic elegance drivers. But these are less than 1/13th of the price per cm2 cone area. Only drawback of these is that they aren't properly ventilated so when you push them there is "wind noise". But I am not complaining for 6 bucks per driver.
I misunderstood your first post. I thought this is complete speaker. They are all supposed to be low passed. Three should be low passed very low....like subwoofers, the fourth one will hand over to a midrange at around 600Hz or so.
Why? If it reaches to 600 Hz...
I'm with Wolftooth (easy)
Keep it balanced somehow electrically and acoustically, so two and two.

You cover with fabric ( and batting underside) one woofer if it emits too much mids. That's a post- crossover band- aid!?
I don't understand your comment/question. What do I cover with fabric? Are you referring to the fabric "wings"? Those are filled with fine gravel and act as H-frame without parallel surfaces. You cover with fabric ( and batting underside) one woofer if it emits too much mids. Yes, sorry...I meant to say that if two woofers sharing the same path, say the first low pass filter ( I guess the second LP would be cascaded), and you want only one to emit the midrange, just cover the other one to make a mechanical LP filter. Probably just a disc centered, because it's near the voice coil that there's maximum treble emission
