Re: Update
An aperiodic TL should work really well... going with this gives a smoother (flatter derivative) and flatter impedance curve, and does a better job of eliminating reflections back thru the cone.

OK here's the latest 3.5 way.
On the back:
TB 8"
2 X 8" PR
plate amp
on the front:
MCM 7"
Foster 1.5" dome mid
1" titanium dome tweet
1" multi lam ply, 42" high, approx 90 lbs .
Initial sound check is good but way different sounding than the last pair.
I think I'm done for a while.

What kind of finish?
Cal,
Look very good.
What is the finish on those? Spray resin (truck liner)?
I thought about buying some Bryston Powerpac for the impending speakers, but little too expensive for my taste.
Now I must try to get some time build the cabinet soon.

Thanks Gengis,
It's "Accents" by Rust-Oleum. This is the "Stone Creations", black granite. Comes in regular spray can.
I like to give it two thick coats of regular black paint, applied with a roller and then use the stone creations. One can per cabinet, top, front and sides only.
Only drawback I see is that it takes forever to dry. A week and they are still a little tacky. The Coax units are now finally dry after 4 weeks.

Now I can. And it only took me 20 minutes to extract them from the bombproof box!
Thanks planet 10 dave. The Corals sound great in their new home. Jimmy Buffett never sounded better.
