So this seems to be a fullrange driver tangband 4 " at PE
I checked the FR.
its got a 6db hole at 1.5khz and a 5db peak at 5k
The hole looks quite bad...
I was thinking about ordering a Pair, for replacements for PC speakers! ,no xover needed!
Experiences and opinions?🙂 FR link

There are better TB's listed under
"extended range drivers"
for a full range application.

Had just completed drawings for a push-push ML TQWT design using the TB W4-1052SA drivers when I saw somw addittional remarks on an old Post which seems to be continued in this one.
Aside from the tone burst tests and the variations in response shown on the graphs, I was wondering has anyone had heard one of these?
My design is flexible enough to accept a number of 3-4" drivers including the Fostex FE107 which looks interesting. So I have 3 questions;
1. Has anyone heard the TB drivers in a ML TQWT enclosure?
2. Ditto---the FE107?
3. What 4" full range driver do you like best?
Please respond quickly, the glue on my enclosures is drying!🙂

Tim; I agree, the FE-107 with higher efficiency and a nice response curve looks like a better bet. With the higher fs I can shorten the pipe and stick a subwoofer underneath for up to 150hz. Thanks for the input.
I am not sure, but is this the FE107 (not E) at Brigar
Electronics for $12.95?

It sure looks it, but it is 5 1/4" (which would make is an FE12x) and it has a poly cone (all the Fostex are paper)

Herm; The driver I was referring to is the FE 107E from Fostex a 4" driver:
FS 80hz
SPL 90 db/w
Magnet Weight 0.223 lb
The specs are on PDF files at Madisound's sight. Don't know what the 5.5" on Brigar's site is.
