Hi I found this forum and thought it may be helpful.

I have blown a 4" midrange on my JBL es90 speakers.

Rather than replacing with the same driver I was thinking of upgrading both speakers with a better driver.

Can I just put in any 4" midrange driver and it will sound ok? or do i need to choose a certain specification? The driver that is blown says 10PR75AX-HW01-e on it, I cant find any specs.

I listen very loud so would need something that would handle high volumes.

Any recommendations would be great.

Hi,
is it similar at that emplojed oin JBL 250 trapezoidal 4 ways?🙄

Because , in this case you can adapt an AUDAX HM100z0, with soime modification on the x-over, probabily...😉

if you arte intersted contact me,in private,
I am an expert of 4" audax ...very good driver still reperible...😎

cheers

Hi, that HM100Z0 looks good but it is only 40W power handling? My speakers are 110W nominal/ 400W max, and my power amps are 390W - Do i not need something with a higher power rating to stop them blowing again?
