4 Inch "Great" Speaker for Vintage Radio

- reasons I mentioned the Boss speaker - 4 ohm (some AM radios had 3.2ohm transformer secondaries), low cost, should sound "smooth" with emphasis towards bass - Q ~2 IIRC on the 4" unit. Downside is the "rubber" surround is what I would call a type of foam. Foam rarely lasts half the time of cloth surround. The 4" got a good review for use in an AM radio - it would have probably less transparency in the highs relative to the Faital but could imagine that's ok in some radios (?)

I once successfully fitted a vintage mantel radio with a speaker from a junked "boom box" cassette radio. It was 3 ohm, which matched the original, and sounded fine. (The cows appreciated it, it was located in a milking shed on a diary farm...)
