Well it is possible you damaged the amp when you reversed the polarity.
This is true. Despite both on-board fuses blowing when I connected the negative to the battery, this is a possibility.
I don't get it though, the rear channels can power the front speakers without throwing the amp into protect and at good levels with low audible distortion.

I'm not sure how technology has come along in 6 years, but my amp may have been affected by the amperage that blew the 2 x 40 amp fuses due to reverse polarity
