3W 0.22 ohm emitter resistor needed

I need to find a Mouser Part number for this simple single emitter resistor and all I seem to be able to find are the dual emitter resistors. I don't happen to have a Mouser catalog so any help would be appreciated.

Try E-Bay, or, as Mooly is inferring, stand a common 0R22 on its end.

I wondered, anyway I didn't see any from Mouser so looks like you'll have to widen the net looking for those.

Those used to be common. Not anymore. A 5W stood on end may be your best bet.

You can always try both Partsexpress and MCM Electronics. Both companies used to specialize in replacement parts.

What you are looking for is called a metal band resistor, don't know a source for them but knowing what your looking for will most certainly help

I've gotten most of my metal plate resistors off Ebay, from sellers in HK/China. Search for your resistor value, and add Noble, Futaba, or Koa to the search term, and these resistors will generally pop up. I don't know about their authenticity, but they appear to work ok.

I know it's not the right package, but this is what I bought:

100pcs 0 22 Ohm 0 22R 3watt Carbon Film Resistors 3W Resistor 5 Tolerance 2101 | eBay

It is super cheap. I bought the 0.12 and 0.15. I tested both by stringing them together and pump current through to heat it up for two hours at minimum 2.5W. They all survived, some change to darker color but everyone survived. I put only those that passed the torture test into my pcb.

They are carbon film, should be lower inductance than wire wound. Dirt cheap.

carbon film power resistors will flame when overloaded, metal oxide "flameproof" power resistors are safer and used in reputable commercial products

I don't see any big difference, you over power them, they both smoke.
