3m porta-scribe buying help

i found this on ebay.

it's old and cheap AND it uses DYS bulbs which are 600watts and 17000 lumens. that's good stuff. am i crazy or is this a great deal? does anyone have one? The bulbs are also $9.

i read harder and it's not 3m. it's a knockoff but hey. any help still would be nice.

That dys bulb is a halogen bulb with 17000 lumens and about 3k color temperature I think. The total output of the OHP is only about 4000 lumens not 17000 lumens (I used to have the same OHP), its ok if you turn off all lights. It uses doublet lens which is ok but triplet lens are better like the higher model 3m OHPs. Good things about the Dalite porta-scribe is that it uses the old style bulb with separate reflector and an auto sensor fan. It should have enough room to retrofit a metal halide if you wanted to later.
