I have recently acquired this 3M 6450 panel and will use the svideo input, but it didn't come with the necesarry power cable! It looks like a 7 pin DIN connector (keyboard like) but i have no idea where to find or how to build this! The unit requires 15V DC which I can find but the wiring is gonna be a son of witch. I see 6 pin DIN connectors but 7 pin! anyone??

I found some of the missing info myself here ..

INPUT:100-250v~50-60hz 1.2A
OUTPUT: 15V 2.7A

-0---B-
A-----B
-A-0-0-

Ok theres a diagram of the 7 pins where the ones marked "A" (e.g 2nd and 3rd from the top left) read +15v according to my source, and the top two pins to the right e.g BB read 0V

I have acquired the 7p din connector, but the question is how would I wire this adaptor to the 7pin DIN connection as described?

well if your right then strip the power cable of its connector. and get 4 pins 2 for each hole. push the pins in the holes and some cello tape tape. put 2 pins in the + sockets and 2 pins in the - sockets i.e. bb and aa. then attach the correct cable polarity to the pins...then pray!!! that i would do.

normally the power cable with the white strip is the + side. but you can easily find the polarity with a computer fan! good luck..oh and if things start blowing up, you didn't hear nothin!!!:smash:
