Hi,
is there an easy way to reduce the size of a 3D object on a STL file ?
I’d like to scale down the object to 53% of its current size. It’s a very simple object but it’s too big...
Any recommendations for a software or freeware ?
When sending the file to JLCPCB, they won’t do any modifications.
Thanks
Eric

Well, I know one way but isn't really an easy one 😉 3ds Max has STL import/export and the modifier to simplify the mesh. I believe a free SW with the same ability does exist. Can I ask, why JLC needs your STL files?? They never asked me about it before..

I’m a total newbie with 3D printing, whenever you get a file from the web it seems to always be STL.
JLCPCB offers PCBs and also 3D printing, they have great prices. They can print in Stainless steel if you wish..
An easy way is to install and open the Cura slicer. Then click on the model. A menu opens and this is the scale icon. Scale with the same proportion in x, y and z. Most likely the default.
Then export the resulting object as stl.
Then export the resulting object as stl.
