and btw, the hole in the baffle needs to be at least one inch from the edge right ?
wonder how would one of the 18 faital pro woofers stack up in this design?
kmixx

Hi,
18" Faital Pro drivers are to large to fit.. but if other dimensions are used:

@maxx....not really a matter of liking B&c or 18sound....it was just that i noticed the faital pro's were approx same price here in usa as the kappalite 15lf...so i was just figuring 18" vs 15" @pretty much same sensitivity would yeild a louder box
...thanks bjorno for the data , i suck @horn response

How well do these Subs work?
I've done 11 charity events, including American Cancer Society's Relay-For-
Life with these Subwoofers and the Peavey PR12's. I have been able to push
the PR12's to 250 Watts and the Subs to red-line (400 Watts) with the
amplifier (XTi 2000) set to cross-over at 100Hz, Bass Boosted 5 dB and
HiPassed at 32Hz and the tops cut at 16 KHz.
This rig will fill a High School athletic field including the 1/4 mile track with at
least 80 Db SPL
