Out of the 12 drivers I have now in dual 15 ported cabs, about 50% need re-cone kits. Mine are the old spec drivers. What effect will the new spec recone kits have when placed in old spec baskets? I am planning to use them in the modified SS15 cab, recently posted by Martin here (http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/subw...30-ft30-pa-th-awesomeness-22.html#post2548377).
Thanks.

So what did they say?
As far as I know and have talked to some techs at Eminence, the Basekt, Magnet, all stayed the same, but some parts of the glueing were improved, they added some epoxy, etc.. So the new cones are more rugged, have slightly shifted TSP but will fit in the old Baskets.
