Hi all i am building a 3 way speaker system and i need help designing it so it looks cool and looks one of a kind if you know what i mean 🙂

I just did the working out with Winisd and the ebp said it would be best so i went along with it.
And with the tweeter being side by side to the Midrange will that affect the sound from the tweeter maybe then just run a strip of MDF along the top and just mount the tweeter above the Midrange.
And with the Woofers i am doing exacly what u said just cone to cone one inside and one out

If you can make also the exercise to design the ports on the back ...as putting the tweeter on top . Both changes will influence the sound much ,but the speakers then will have to be placed carefully in the room ( distant from the walls ) .
thanks Pico for that i am running the designs past people to see what they think but putting the ports on the back or front which place would be best or does it depend on the room size?
Yes you should look at many designs -that's what I do too-
The port contributes in sound so it can be considered as an extra speaker...maybe that's what the simulation does! Since it should emit a narrow range of bass notes ,which are omnidirectional ,it could be placed wherever , having in mind the final placement of the cabinets in the room .

No . I haven't read the 'holy' books ,but it is well known that is better in having the ports placed in the back or bottom . It depends . If you are somehow constrained and can't place
the speakers at least 1' from the wall , after rejecting the port on the bottom or needing some extra bass output ,then you can put it on the front baffle ....but that's the last option ,not the first ( for sound quality ) .

will the 6" play down to 50hz, and have no xover ?
maybe try to sim the closed version with slightly smaller volume
rolloff will be a bit lower, a nicely 'rounded'
remember that it should be 6db down at xo point to woofer
woofer should likewise be 6db down
maybe also take a look at xmax figures

You'll get plenty of bass with one 12 inch woofer per enclosure, going isobaric is a waste unless you are constrained by size requirements. If you want incredible bass, double your enclosure volume and install both the woofers in the usual manner.
Here is what I'm building at 4.3 cubic feet, 120 liters total volume with 3.9 cubic feet, 110 liters reserved for the woofers. Bass will be in the mid 20s.

Woofer is too high and tweeter/midrange should be aligned vertically.
Depending on where you crossover, a high mounted woofer will give you two arrival times at your sitting position. It is called floor bounce cancellation.
Align the midrange and tweeter vertically for better stereo imaging. No need to port the midbass either, unless you plan on letting it run full all the way to its lower limit. You've got big woofers there, why port the midbass?

hey, still no drivers ? you are as slow as me.
I started on the project late summer of last year. The shop where I am allowed/privileged to work is not insulated or air conditioned. It gets uncomfortably cold in there there this time of year, almost like working inside a refrigerator. I already suffered two colds and a cough this winter. I've been delaying my shop time until the weather warms up just a bit more.

yes i am constrained by size because to get the same responce i would have to have a 200litre box but with iso barik i only have to have i think it is about 140

so should i move the woofer down near the bottom of the box?
