3 way design help with a ribbon tweeter

Here is a list of my components id like to use. Im not sure how well this pre-made 3 way crossover is but the 4500 cross with the tweeter seems good to me as with the rest.

Peerless 830990 6-1/2" GFC Cone HDS Woofer 8ohm
Peerless by Tymphany 830990 6-1/2" GFC Cone HDS Woofer
Peerless 830992 4" GFC Cone HDS Woofer 8ohm
Peerless by Tymphany 830992 4" GFC Cone HDS Woofer
Fountek NeoCD1.0 ribbon tweeter 5ohm
Fountek NeoCD1.0 Ribbon Tweeter
or this tweeter 7ohm
Fountek NeoCd3.0M-blk 3" Ribbon Tweeter - Round Flange - Black

Crossover
Speaker Crossover 3-Way 8 Ohm 800/4,500 Hz 200W
or
Eminence PXB3:3K5 3-Way Speaker Crossover Board 500/3,500 Hz

my other issue is wiring since the tweeter seems to be 5 ohm and the other two are 8ohm. Not sure how that will workout. I also wanted to build a center speaker with one more 6.5" driver.
Any help or recommendations on if this will work?

It will work. It may not work in a predictable way and you may need to intervene. At the least this means using resistors to reduce the level of the upper drivers. At the most it means building from scratch.

Hi Elijah,

I would have thought you needed a better midrange unit like Dayton Audio RS52FN-8. It'll allow for a higher xo point to a tweeter and probably sound better as well. You could also benefit from manufacturer's frd's and zma's. In that sense try to seek some assistance from members.

the peerless seems pretty good to 3-4k slightly off axis no? I mainly wanted to use those two drivers because I was trying to build a Svs ultra center clone they use those two drivers but they use an aluminum tweeter that doesn't look like it does too well from measurements at least.
Id like to match the look of the 6.5" at least with a similar midrange. Doesn't necessarily need to be that 4" midrange but id like a similar look.

Those are pretty well behaved drivers so it is possible that a stock xo might be ok once you take into account any level differences. But the key word there is "might". It's kind of like throwing horseshoes in the dark. Measurements of the drivers in cabinet are what is needed to truly be accurate but using just simulations can usually get you pretty close. In this case, I would think closer than an off the shelf xo. There are many here who can help you with that or do it themselves.

Looking at your design, I'd be hesitant to put together a 3-way that doesn't cover the full frequency range of most music, so down to about 40Hz. The 6 1/2" Peerless only go down to about 50Hz in a vented box. I would therefore step the woofer up to 1 size bigger. But maybe you plan to use a sub too.

If not I would also consider going with 2 x the 6 1/2" woofers instead of a single one. But that would mean that your mid choice becomes too low in SPL to match properly. Too bad that mid doesn't come in a 4 ohm version which would result in higher sensitivity.
