Is it ok to use 16 AWG copper wire from Michaels to join between caps and bar coils or coils soldered together then regular 18AWG speaker wire to join drivers? Thanks
Yeah its fine.
Though even better if you just join the crossover parts to each other via their leads.

Ok thanks for that all components arrive tomorrow from Parts-Express, excited to start or finish my Omni12Tallboy 5 years in the making. Well non touched for 4 years finally gotten the itch to finish.
There is no such thing as "regular speaker wire"! Depends on the power/current and length of cable run what is appropriate. For short interconnects the current handling is the limiting factor - so what is the max rms current? Then find a chart of wire size / current.
I already have 10 wag pro speaker wire 50' 4 conductor since bi-amp 4 way. the 3 way top is full range passive crossover Im building. I mean it will be speaker wire for crossover to drivers in the cab max 2 foot run. The 12" Eminence neo is rated at 450 watts rms. Thanks😉
Just another question: the caps and coils how do I attach them on the ply board, drill holes for plastic ties and 5 minute epoxy so as to not move when the cabinet is lug around? The bigger iron bar coil are they attached using plastic ties + epoxy glue on the bottom side of the coil? Thanks
