I tried four of these in a parallel qw resonator (240/80 cm lengths, like a folded bose wave cannon). it’s impressive, in a small space, what those 4 little drivers will do, but it’s not a very legit ‘subwoofer’.
I don’t know what else we could do with little drivers?

Lol, audiophiles would say a 39hz tune is subwoofer territory. Probably, bass guitar players too.
SUBwoofer = 27.5hz, the lowest note on an 88 key piano.

I tried 2 of them in this as well.....not so potent/punchy like the high pressure of the strange sounding 'twin' tL pipes.
i came to realize there’s not much help (even with long fancy tqw tubes, etc) if the driver exciting them is 🍄

He is about testing new 3D printers too.
Isn’t that what i sid in the first sentence.

"Miniature" and "1.55 meters" are mutually exclusive statements.
Good point. Seems excessive. When i did the Met for the FF85wk it was 18” long and an ML-Voigt needs to be longer than a non-tapered (narrow to wide) line.
BTW, i have a pair of those woofers. Not really impressed.

I bet the performance would be alot different in a vehicle, which is what Hexibase does with his enclosures.

Given the room gain in a vehicle very nmuch so.
But thisparticuaor woofer would not be my first choice unless space was extremely limited. The sonics are suspect.

The midTweeter in FH-Lite of Girrafe does better bass than the tiny TB in a reflex. FHL goes lower and sounds better.

try those drivers, they’re only $15 . I bought like 20 of them and put them in TL,’ Paraflex’, TH, br, etc.. easiest way to learn a little about ‘everything‘ (and then realize im even dumber than i thought 😝)I bet the performance would be alot different in a vehicle, which is what Hexibase does with his enclosures.
I used a pair of the 1876S in an opposed PR loaded bandpass. I ran them in series for an 8 ohm load. The little chip amp had a 150Hz LP xover, and i wanted it lower. I used an acoustic rolloff to get it. The drivers would not unload at the 15-30W intended, and would fill a room with bass. This is a sub the size of a loaf of bread, and was quite impressive. I call it Goosebump. Bottom end is likely 40-45Hz in room, but that would be at best.

I only build for purpose...new vehicle, blown driver, or paid request.
I have a bunch raw drivers in my stash...3.5", 4" (I think), 5.25", 8", 12", and 15".
These might be the 4".
