It is apparent that most members here cannot reply without doing one of the following:
-Sniping contests to belittle projects in a backhanded way
-Criticisms of the values of a project builder
-Repeated comments by engineers who seem to lack nearly all social skills
There seems to be a personality type here that CANNOT accept values different from their own.
You all seem intellectually incapable of accepting project values that you do not share, that you do not agree with, and seem intent upon forcing others to have your values, or if not you mock and insult and make fun of those who do not comport.
Yes, bjorno, 67dB is just fine for me.
I am not you.
I do not have your values.
I do not want what you want.
However like so many here, you cannot accept this.
I question the usefulness of this forum with so many similar, and unwanted, attitudes, opinions, and posts.
It seems clear to me that few here will post anything constructive to my threads, other than to mock and make fun of what I wish to do.
This forum is of dubious utilility as I can read without posting and avoid the nasty comments.

That's the issue. This forum is narrow-minded.
Yes it is. "Better" is a measurable value in this case, it's not up to personal preference. Maybe it isn't neccesary, but it is sure preferable. I understand that some comments are pretty rough but everyone on here is trying to help (in their own free time). I think Bjorno's word choice is a bit odd. "respectable" is determined by personal preference and I accept that you don't *need* any more. However, a speaker that taps out at the prefered level is not preferable compared to one that just starts up around that SPL.

I don't think the comments are meant to be nasty as such, more tongue in cheek, = attempts @ being funny etc. So don't take them to heart !
Also bjorno for one, spent time doing those designs & taking images & posting them etc, which he didn't have to do.
The more time you spend here, then you'll get a better feel for how some of us post.
