I've got 3 8" woofers 8 ohms. dc resistance is 6.4 ohms. How can I wire these together to get a reasonable impedance and have all three playing at the same level.
Hello Ken,
Bad Luck, Either connect them all in parallel (2.6 Ohm nominal) or all in series (24 ohm nominal) for an equal sound output from them.
Either get another identical woofer, and wire them in a series/parallel combo for 8ohms, or spend some more money and get a good quality amp that will drive a low impedance load without losing its composure.
Another option will be using multiple amplifiers...
Cheers, Adrian
