Douglas Self has a "Blameless" amplifer, from what I gather he's had a few variants on the same theme. This uses those output trannies as far as I know.

G. Randy Slone also has a design based on them and if I recall from discussions on DIYaudio etc, its very similar to Self's blameless amp. I have built this one and it sounds fantastic and is very easy to build and setup.

Contains the blameless amp, I believe.

Contains Slone's version, design 11.4.

Sure, that one's fine. It's a little unusual because it's a very old circuit design from the 60's, but apparently it sounds fine.

The transistors you mentioned are very nice and very versatile and will work well with almost any modern circuit designed for BJT output transistors.

The first one I mentioned (DX Amp) is more "normal". And the "Blameless" design also mentioned here is also very well known.

Just pick a circuit and start building. Good luck.

Just for curiosity !
isnt there something wrong with the DX amplifier schematic about the obsolete VR2 mentiones in DX home page with the Pictures gallery , Greg Erskine picture and some other pictures .
why the VR2 is there ????
Different schematic ?
