I am trying to repair an Audiosource AMPSUB210 and I can not find either of those transistors in stock anywhere.
Would the Toshiba 2SA1145 and 2SC2705 reliably subsitute in?
Or is there something else?

As far as I can tell from the datasheets for the 2SA1024 and 2SA1145, they are a close match. The absolute maximum ratings are almost identical and hfe is close enough. Most importantly, the legs match as well, i.e. 1=E, 2=C, 3=B.
The 2SA1145 has less output capacitance and a higher fT. That should not be a problem, but to be sure you will have to:
(a) run a SPICE simulation [optional]
(b) solder in place and test

Thanks for looking into it. One other difference was a slight drop in power disipation, the 1024 was 1W and the 1145 drops to 800mW, also probably not an issue.
While I have the SPICE program, I am not experienced using it to model circuits.
Unless someone knows a good U.S. source for the 1024 & 3206 and is willing to share it or a better sub, I will try the 1145 & 2705 in their place.

Old Thread I know, but I just repaired a Pioneer VSX-51 Home Theater receiver with the 1024/3206 pair in a predriver ckt. I subbed with the 1145/2705 and the unit powered up and runs audio just fine. Just thought I would pass along the info, sourcing the 1024/3206's in the US is a huge pain in the butt.
