Hey guys, i was thinking about running a dual 12 inch sub setup in my car and I was looking around for an amp and found the Pioneer GM-D8604. It seems like it will do the job nicely except for one downside.
The rated RMS power at 4 ohm is 300 watts per channel, but it says at a 2 ohm load, it is 150 watts per channel.
Correct me if I am mistaken but shouldn't the 2 ohm load be able to push out more power? The other amps that push 300w at 4 ohm usually can do 400-600w RMS at 2 ohm
What gives? :/
Here is the manual for reference: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/StaticFiles/Manuals/Car/GM-D8604_OwnersManual100112.pdf
