I want to make another pair of interconnects, a preamp (don't know which one yet), 2 BNCs are for DACs and of course the binding posts: most of them for GC amps and some for Aleph and SOZ ( as I still want to build all out versions of those amps and see if this time they'll be better than GC😉)

This Thread will now shift to Q&A.
I will try to answer any question you may have about the above items or the how this bulk purchase will work.
Don't worry if you miss this part. I will post full instructions when the time is right. The first step for you is to send me an email request for the prices which I'll send to you when I get them.
To head off some questions, here are some of the answers
This is the Cardas site with brief descriptions of all the parts.
Only the parts on the above list will be included in the bulk purchase.
Here is the Cardas RCA Bulk Purchase WIKI FROM LAST YEAR.
Here is proof that Peter is behind this whole thing. It has a lot of info on the binding post.
Here is proof that I'm a glutton for punishment. It has a lot of info on RCA's.
PayPal is by far my prefered method of payment.
USPS is my prefered shipper and the only shipper to outside of the US.
Again, the only thing you need to do now is send me an email request for pricing, which I will send to you when I have it.

Someone was thoughtful enough to start a WIKI page for this bulk purchase. I thank you very much.
I'm suprised. No questions?

What's the weather like in Michigan right now?

Actually, I do have one nagging question: how do most people use the BP's? On the copper based, either bare stranded wire or spade lugs? And on the brass based, bare stranded, bananas, or spade?
I don't know about the "patented" posts, but for the others I wouldn't use bare wire because there is no hole through the center post. I guess solid-core would be marginal, but I hate using stranded wire on posts like this.
I use spades. If you are using flat copper cable I would skip them.

One thing I can't figure out. Which patented binding posts are we getting? Rhodium plated? Pure copper?
I can't find the model #s listed here referenced anywhere, not even on their site.

diycable.com however seems to offer 2 types (long/short) .. pure copper ( http://www.diycable.com/main/product_info.php?cPath=26_44_49&products_id=400 ) and copper post/rhodium over silver ( http://www.diycable.com/main/product_info.php?cPath=26_44_49&products_id=400 )
kind of strange how they're all listed however, so i don't know ..
short or long
I think I want a pair of CCGR and a pair of GRFA, But I don't know which will be good for a 0.25" panel, Short or Long. 😕
Please help.

Re: short or long
Either of the binding posts will work with a 1/4" panel, but the long will give you some extra assurance. The information you want on the RCA's can be found here in last years WIKI.SI said:I think I want a pair of CCGR and a pair of GRFA, But I don't know which will be good for a 0.25" panel, Short or Long. 😕

The copper versions, both short and long have been added to the list.elizard said:

whoops. I was off on to another part of the planet for the past bit. are my binding posts on the list? Or has my lack of attention paid put me out of the buy? I'm looking at 12 pair of the copper/rhodium (or gold) posts. a mix of the long and short. mostly long, for crossovers and bigass amps.

Read back one page in this thread.
pair vs "pair"
Rodd,
Presumably your pricelist, once out, will clarify this but, I seem to recall a few questions last year about what is meant by a pair of binding posts (for example).
Just to start things off... 😉
Does one by a two pair of binding posts for a stereo amplifier?
Thanks for setting this up.
Cheers,
RKH

Re: pair vs "pair"
Thank you, curse you, thank you, curse you.😉 You may presume too much.
The price in the price list will be for 1 dual binding post (see below). A pair will cost you twice that price. It is a pair of dual binding posts that is required for a single stereo amp.
(...and no, the Aleph-X board is not included.)

The prices are in. I will start sending them out this evening (between Survivor and ER). Some people will get three or more emails to go with the 3 or more request. To them I say, OK, OK, it's coming. Please don't send 3 orders unless you plan to pay for 3 orders worth of parts.
All the final ordering instructions will be included in my return email. Do not make any payments until I have given you a total.
Please go to the WIKI page and read the instruction there. If you have any questions, ask them here in this thread.
I'm not sure how much you will save in a group purchase, but there is a list on the WIKI page for those who would like to try to put something together.
