What is the story about Rodd visiting Peter Daniel's residence/operation? Is Rodd the only member invited?

Peter, do you care to explain?

Rodd, any tour pictures?
I had the camera in the car but didn't bring it in with me. Sorry.

I can only say that Rodd was pretty much impressed with those speakers. The rest he has to tell himself.

Oh, he also left that bag (beside the speakers)😉
Peter,

Thanks for the hospitality.

I was impressed with the speakers well enough, but I was overwhelmed with everything else. The museum was great, Peter's ability to create such beautiful components from a pile of metal and parts, his way of not letting the lack of a PCB stop him from realizing the finished project, the shear number of projects he has going, and his seemingly endless energy. Peter's photo shows what used to be 3 room and a closed off staircase. Peter removed all the walls between the rooms and created this lovely living space.

I wish I could have stayed longer.

BTW Peter, it was 10mph or less from Hurontario all the way through Oakville, and I didn't get over 40mph untill after Hamilton. I got home about 10pm.

I just got my stuff 5 minutes ago. They look great. I think my mistake was I thought the GRFA-L RCA conectors were golden in color, but I took a better look at the picture at the web site and found out , they are in fact silver with Brass nut.

Keep up the good work Rodd.🙂

Regards.

They are in fact rhodium plated over silver plate, all over eutectic brass. The rhodium is silver in color, harder and more conductive than gold.

Rodd,
my patent binding posts arrived yesterday - thanks for the great service.

This style of post is ingenious indeed and must have low manufacturing cost (after tooling set-up) and I mean that as a compliment. It doesn't seem as if it's going to rigidly clamp to a panel as the conventional posts do but I guess I'll find out soon enough (maybe add a washer behind the bolt head, but careful not to short the posts!).

Regards

Hi Rodd: My phono jacks and binding posts arrived in perfect shape. Thanks very much for organizing this group buy and going to all the trouble involved in shipping and packaging.

I think the binding posts will go on a future pair of Alephs along with a couple of the jacks. At least those parts of the project will be first class!

The New 2nd Annual Cardas Bulk Purchase Schedule Update.

There were a couple of mis-shipments.

Please let me know (send me an email) if you received the wrong parts.

The Back Order parts are expected to ship to me around mid-April.

BACKORDER PARTS:
CCGR-S - Short Rhodium Over Silver Plated Dual Binding Posts
CABD - Dual Banana Plug
CAB - Single Banana Plug

Those who have ordered these parts and live in the US have the option of receiving your parts in two shipments (at an extra cost of $4). Please send me an email if you want your parts sent in two shipments. Otherwise, I will wait until the full order is ready to ship.

Those who have ordered these parts, and DO NOT live in the US will have to wait for the back order.

I have shipped all the orders I can fill today (Monday).

-Robert

p.s. - maybe its because im an avalanche fan? btw, redwings suck 🙂
Be careful Robert, you may never see your parts with comments like that.😉

Actually, as you can see by the previous updates the first half of the orders shipped Friday and the second half shipped yesterday. The split was confirmed oders by about 2/27/04. Your in the second half.

hmm, I'm feeling a little dumb here but what do I do with these 2 piece spades? To thick to crimp, and to thick to solder. And what’s the point of the sleeve anyways? 😕
OB,

Use a standard crimp tool. The tube will easily crush on the wire up to 8ga.
