anyone know where to get these MH Coil&Core Ballasts that are available in australia or to australia with the correct 240volts
To get the ballast and igniter in self contained unit, try:
http://www.hydroshop.com.au/Products/StockSelection.asp?C1=53&C2=534&Page=1
They have Sodium and MH control gear/ballast.
From my research these seemed to be better value than getting the parts individually from the local electrical supplier (Middendorp). You also don't have the hassle of trying to match the ballast and igniter.
Having said that, I ended up getting an electronic ballast from the US, as I was already paying for the postage on a lamp, and it was just as cheap to get an electronic ballast at the same time.
If you can get a lamp locally, the hydroshop ballast would be a good option.
